    QPC 2009 Vision:

    The QPC 2009 Planning Committee envisions diverse communities that:
    * Explore and celebrate intersections of queer Pin@y identities.
    * Have equal queer Pin@y representation and voice in all areas of society.
    * Are critical and aware of how words and actions affect others.
    * Actualize and practice justice in our everyday lives.

    QPC 2009 Mission:

    QPC 2009 creates a safe and open space to:
    * Make the connection between Pilipin@ OURstories and personal identities.
    * Highlight our role models and the growth of the queer Pin@y community.
    * Dialogue about queer Pin@y issues.
    * Give conference participants tools and knowledge to bring back to their communities.

It’s been a few weeks since QPC 2009, but we just wanted to thank all of you for making the conference amazing!

On behalf of QPC Committee and Samahang Pilipino Board, would like to thank you for participating in QPC 2009! We would also like to especially thank all of the workshop facilitators, performers, volunteers, speakers, as well as QPC founders Mark Ng and Christine Balance, for truly making our 10 year anniversary celebration amazing.

We strongly encourage you to continue to bring the knowledge and tools from the conference back to your respective spaces, organizations, and communities in order to allow for the continuing progress of the queer pin@y community.

Saturday is almost here! Here’s a general checklist:

1. Make sure you REGISTER.
(People will also be able to register the day of QPC)

2. Don’t forget to SIGN UP FOR WORKSHOPS.
(Here’s a list of the workshop descriptions)

3. Interested in helping out still? Sign up to VOLUNTEER.
(Volunteer training tonight from 8-9pm at UCLA’s Student Activities Center)

4. Need directions to QPC? Take a look at the location section!
(Includes directions to UCLA, a map of where you can park, and a map of the venues for QPC)

5. Can’t wait for Saturday? Take a look at the schedule so you have an idea of what to expect.

Due to the demand of some, there will be a cap so don’t wait too long!!! There will be on-site sign ups for workshops the day of QPC 2009 for those who are unable to sign up on-line.

REMINDER: Volunteer Training Sessions will be held Tuesday-Thursday from 8-9pm at UCLA’s Student Activities Center. You only need to attend one! If you haven’t signed up to volunteer – SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE!
